In Uttarakhand, one of India’s most challenging states for agriculture, average agricultural income is less than $2/ day and farmland sizes average at 0.5 – 2 hectares. Smallholder farmers in India often practice organic farming but without certification to increase their income.
Just Organik pays the cost of the organic certification; provides access to expertise and infrastructure for farmers to transition to organically-certified farming; and is a stable buyer at the farm gate, connecting farmers to domestic and international buyers for the sale of premium organic food products.

Just Organik procures directly from 4,000 farmers in Uttarakhand, providing farmers in its network with a premium of at least 25% over the fluctuating mandi price for organic produce.
